While on set working for my buddy Trenton Ducati as his second camera while he directed the upcoming Hot House movie RimRock, I managed to grab a few moments to chat with the adorable muscle hunk Derek Bolt. (Follow him on Twitter @DerekBoltXXX)

Derek plays a furnace repairman in this movie… which was fitting because when we arrived at the location up in the mountains and the furnace had stopped working… Derek went down into the basement and fixed the furnace.

He’s hot, he’s cool, he’s funny, he’s hunky and handsome. He’s also a gamer and a pretty cool guy and yes, he’s got a gigantic dick He smells like man. And WOW that dick is huge. We’d just finished shooting a scene together (I was director of photography) and sat down for a chat.

finally….

About 20 years ago I was at Queen Video on Queen Street in Toronto looking for something to rent to watch that night. That was back in the days you had to go out and rent VHS tapes and the best places had all the cool underground movies, documentaries and random things you’d never heard about but rented based solely on the cover.

I found a documentary called Making Porn and added it to whatever else I had rented that day (if my memory serves me, it was the Whoopie Goldberg comedy Jumpin’ Jack Flash). It was, obviously, about how gay porn was made… but it strongly featured a director named Chi Chi LaRue. I had heard of Chi Chi, of course, in those days we were all pretty up on who was who in porn, but didn’t know much past the name and a few titles. I was struck by just how focused and driven he was on set… I also loved how fun the whole process looked. At the time I was working a corporate purchasing job that was slowly sucking my soul away and at night I was trying to become a rock star with my band PlasticPalacePeople. But there was something in that movie that made me wonder what it would be like to work in porn… and within 4 years I had my first job working as web designer and video editor for a small studio based in Toronto… fast forward to 2019 and after knowing each other for years… Chi Chi and I finally got to work together on a movie he’s directing for Noir Male. I’m doing still photography on this, and it’s been a very rewarding experience so far. It’s been very fun to be able to break the mold of what I’ve been doing for years and let my creativity bloom a bit in directions I haven’t gone before… it’s also just been a blast to work with a bunch of models I haven’t worked with before…

Chatting with Michael Boston

Ok this was a fun shoot… Trenton Ducati had booked out a whole Gay Resort but… well, we didn’t tell the guys who’d come to just hang out at the gay resort unaware that we’d be shooting a movie right in front of them.

Lost Clip: Francois Sagat directing Jesse Jackman and Christopher Daniels in the Bacchus scene.

This is an amazing clip… Long lost once that I haven’t seen in years. But it’s rather amazing to see.

Francois is learning to direct from Brian Mills. Jesse is very to new porn and I’m experienced shooting porn but I’m new to the team… We managed to shoot one of the most amazing scenes I’ve ever worked on.

The scene ended up looking like Clash of the Titans… complete with a thunder and lightning storm that fell on the men as we shot… it was amazing. I’m still in awe of how incredible it looks.

so I was playing with my drone out in Joshua Tree and WHAT THE FUCK?!?!

OK, so… not really. This is a drone shot from the forthcoming movie Hauling Ass that I was graciously invited to co-direct with Steve Cruz for Raging Stallion. This scene stars my old buddy Jack Vidra (whom those of you who have followed my career will remember from my movie Pool Service where he performs with Matthew Bosch and Liam Knox) and Ryan Stone.

Also on hand were Brian Bonds and Mr. Pam as we braved the VERY chilling winter cold in the high desert. As we braved the cold and wind and rain… the guys delivered an excellent performance… Although we did have to retreat inside once temperatures dropped and the wind picked up. Still… So fun that we get to do fun stuff like this.

Director’s Blog: Making the Big Brother scene with Jesse and Julian

As I wrote over on the Titanmen blog… I almost cut off Jesse Jackman’s head with the drone when we were shooting this scene.

Ok, not quite… there are safety guards and the blades are made of soft plastic.

But it would have done some pretty nasty damage to him and we wouldn’t have been able to shoot the scene. The carnage can be seen in the split screen from the BTS movie… I got REALLY close to Jesse..

BTW… that shot was kinda fucked up. That’s not the one we used. I had forgotten to remove the safety brace on the drone and the camera wasn’t able to pan straight down. The shot that I used in the scene was done after this and the drone stays way above their heads and just pans down at them. But this was a pretty cool shot, too.

The hardest part of the opening bit was that I had to shoot most of the opening sequence twice. I shot this with four different cameras. The Drone, my OSMO, my GoPro and the full-quality Titan HD cameras. But since most of those cameras have to be held very close… I couldn’t be in a wide shot… anyway… I had Jesse and Julian play around in the pool using my big cameras.. and then stripped down to my bathing suit and shot it all under water with my GoPro. I Guess Technically there IS such a thing as a “Fluffer.”

It’s one of the top questions I get asked. “Are you hiring fluffers?” or “how does one become a fluffer?” or “how much does a fluffer make?”

There is no such thing as a fluffer. So stop sending me your resumés. On the set of a porn  movie, your scene partner is there to help get and keep you hard… if you can’t get your dick hard without the help of someone else, you’re in the wrong line of work.

Here, however, is a fun clip that I shot back in the days when I was a production assistant. While the crew were moving cameras and adjusting lights, the three stars, David Anthony, Race Cooper and Kyle Quinn all took some time to suck each other’s dicks and get each other hard.
